Hi there!

I'm Javier Moratilla Heras, an artist from Spain with a lifelong passion for creativity and storytelling. My journey began at a young age, driven by curiosity and a desire to bring my own projects to life. I pursued a degree in Animation at U-TAD in Las Rozas de Madrid, where I honed my skills, and later expanded my expertise by completing the TDA painting course at The Animation Workshop (TAW) in Denmark, pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

I’ve had the pleasure of pitching one of my personal projects, The Fast Way (TV series), at Cartoon Springboard 2023 and Animario 2024, which were invaluable experiences in refining my craft and sharing my vision with industry professionals.

Currently, my goal is to establish myself as a professional in the animation industry, focusing on visual development/concept art, illustration, and background design. While my main strengths lie in these areas, I’m also eager to explore storyboard and layout, as I believe these skills will complement my work in creating fully realized worlds and narratives.

I'm also the creator of Svodiak, a worldbuilding project I’ve been developing for almost 14 years, which I’ve recently started sharing on YouTube. Welcome to Svodiak!—a creative journey where I showcase, develop and explore the depths of this evolving world and invite others to dive into this journey with me.

I'm dedicated to continuous learning and always open to new opportunities for growth. I have a deep love for history, classical architecture, and art across different eras—elements that often inspire my work. The future excites me, and I’m ready to embrace any challenge that comes my way to achieve my creative goals.
